Toroidal Field Coils for ITER

ITER is a global research project conducted jointly by Europe, China, South Korea, India, Japan and the United States.
The ITER project site, where the new nuclear fusion reactor will be built, is in Cadarache in the south of France and 10 superconducting magnets (out of 19) will also be built in Europe by ASG Superconductors.
The company was awarded the order in 2010 as part of a consortium with Iberdrola and Elytt Energy.The coils are under construction in a new 28,000 sq m production facility in La Spezia.
