KATRIN

KATRIN magnetic systems

Karlsruhe (Germany), 2017

An essential task of particle and astroparticle physics over the next years will be the determination of the absolute mass scale of neutrinos. The KArlsruhe TRItium Neutrino experiment (KATRIN) is designed to perform a high-precision measurement of the mass of the electron anti neutrino in a tritium ß-decay experiment at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). The two magnetic systems DPS2-F and CPS, designed and manufactured by ASG, constitute the electron transport and tritium pumping system.
