Still in the framework of the international thermonuclear fusion project known as ITER, in 2012 ASG was awarded an order for “Engineering Integrator” activities as part of work on the construction of the poloidal field coils (PF2-PF3- PF4 e PF5) and the cold testing of PF6. As Engineering Integrator, ASG is responsible for issuing a manufacturing plan for ITER's poloidal field coils that defines the manufacturing layout and workflow, including manufacturing drawings and procedures for the production of all the poloidal field coils to be produced in the on-site Poloidal Field Coils Winding Facility. ASG also supports F4E in the procurement of the tooling and equipment for component manufacture and supervises the manufacturing and cold test activities.
