In the framework of thermonuclear fusion research, work continues at IPP in Greifswald on the Wendelstein 7-X stellarator, an experimental device for which ASG Superconductors has completed at its production facility the manufacturing of 30 superconductive windings, of three different types, which will generate the magnetic field cage for the plasma. The Wendelstein 7-X stellarator intends to demonstrate that fusion devices of this type are suitable for applications in industrial power plants.
