MgB2 opens the door to high performance magnet ramping

From research to industrial applications like energy storage, intraoperative MRI and particle therapy applications. Experimental evidence shows that MgB2 – the high temperature superconductor wire developed and manufactured by ASG Columbus mgb2 unit - confirms all theoretical expectations in carrying rapidly varying currents at 20K.
