ASG in Russia for a meeting on the NICA collider
15/07/2015
In June, ASG Chief Executive Vincenzo Giori - along with company managers - met representatives of the Joint Institute of Nuclear Research in Russia. The meeting was focused on possible technological collaboration for the NICA project, which needs superconducting magnets. After the meetings Vladimir Kekelidze, director of the High Energy Physics Laboratory, said: "This company is very high-tech and they have also realized the magnets for the CMS at CERN's Large Hadron Collider. When we thought about whom to negotiate with over the production of a large magnet, the choice was ASG."
