Columbus for Suprapower

SUPRAPOWER, EU cofounded project, held its final workshop on May 31st 2017 at TECNALIA’s facilities in Bilbao, Spain. Main project results and lessons learnt were presented, including a visit to a proof of concept scale superconducting wind turbine based on Columbus MgB2 wire technology. Around 50 people attended the workshop including the project team and representatives from main wind turbines manufactures, wind operators, components manufacturers, superconducting components industry and academia.
