First MROpen unit in the UK installed in Leeds

The first MROpen unit in the UK has been installed in the city of Leeds at United Open MRI Ltd, an imaging services company that owns and manages two imaging centres, in London and Leeds. United Open MRI Ltd offers MRI examinations in “totally OPEN” MRI units with a vertical magnet opening, that allow UPRIGHT MRI examinations including MR imaging in the sitting and standing positions. The “open sky” MRI delivers unprecedented patient comfort by eliminating all barriers between the patient and the surrounding environment. The unit, operational since September 2012, is working at the Leeds imaging centre of United Open MRI.
